Frequently Asked Questions

Help Us Help You

We know it's hard to wrap your head around the concept of a mobile virtual world with all kinds of free games and activities, especially when it's this much fun. So, we've taken a stab at answering some of your most common questions. If you don't find your answers here, feel free to email us at support@cellufun.com and we'll get right back to you.
Stuff You May Want to Know
So how do I get started?
Just visit wap.cellufun.com on your mobile phone and you're off to the races. You can play many of our games in your phone's web browser, and you can download certain games as well. You can also play many of our games right here on our web site, or you can add the Cellufun application to your Facebook page.
Are the games and activities really free?
Ya, you betcha. Playing our games and interacting with our community members is all free thanks to our wonderful advertising partners. Certain items and access require FunCoins, which you can purchase if you wish.
How can I tell if Cellufun will work on my phone?
If your phone has a web browser and you can access the internet, your phone should get along just fine with our virtual world. If not, send us an email and we'll look into it!
How can I advertise on your site?
Whether you're interested in testing the waters with a small banner ad campaign or you're thinking of a full-blown integrated marketing campaign, send us an email at support@cellufun.com and we'll get right back to you. You can also check our ADVERTISERS page for more information. Alternatively, just show up at our office with a bag of gold bricks and we'll have your campaign live by the end of the day.
What are FunFlirts?
FunFlirts are one of Cellufun's messaging systems. They are like a small, graphical postcard that you can send to another member of the community, or to anyone with an email address. You can send one either through your own homepage (click on "See my FunFlirts") or from the homepage of the person with whom you want to flirt.
What are Cellupoints and FunCoins?
Cellupoints and FunCoins are both forms of currency in the Cellufun world. You can earn Cellupoints by playing games and by helping others with their goals. You'll need Cellupoints to purchase certain things in our Cellumall, such as dynamite for your mine or food for your pet. FunCoins, on the other hand, are a premium currency that can be used to purchase special items and services. You can either purchase FunCoins directly through our site or you can occassionally earn them by looking for the FunCoin icon near certain ads on our site. Simply click on those ads and start earning FunCoins!
Why do I have to register to play certain games?
Cellufun is a virtual community, which means many of our games and activities require people to play together. In order for us to let you play these games, we have to give you some sort of identifier so the games can function properly. But we try to make the registration short and sweet so it's not too painful for you.
Why can't I play all of your games on my computer?
You can play all of our browser-based games on your PC, but our downloadable games are designed specifically for mobile phones. So, if you want to play those games, you'll have to do it on your mobile device. Sorry!
Can I play with friends who use a different kind of phone or wireless carrier?
Sure you can. Our community works across all carriers, so this isn't a problem.
I can't download additional puzzles. What's the deal?
You probably just need to allow the game to access the web so it can contact our servers and grab the new puzzles. This is called enabling network communication (sometimes called http) for the game. Many phones ask you for permission when the game is about to do this, while other phones ask you to selection the option allowing network access prior to launching the game.
What happens if I'm playing on my phone and I lose connectivity during a game?
You'll have a moment to reconnect if you briefly lose web access. If you lose connectivity for a longer period, the answer depends on what you're playing. For turn-based games against a real person (like chess), the computer will simply take over for you. In card games, we'll keep you in the pot as if you were all in so you don't lose out with a great hand.
